Our vision for Banbury Community Church (BCC) is that it will be a place where each member of the church family grows in relationship with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, as well as in relationship with one another, while gaining a deeper experience of freedom.

We want BCC to be a place where everyone can be real, feel accepted, loved and know a deep sense of belonging. We also want to equip followers of Jesus who will reach out to the community of Banbury and beyond.

This vision is rooted in the following Bible passage:

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)

With this vision in mind, we are stepping into the things that God has spoken to us about. These include:

  • being expectant and ready for growth
  • developing a church family made up of different communities
  • creating an empowering model of church that is peer led in nature
  • growing and developing our community activities, with a renewed focus on bringing Kingdom into all we do
  • enabling people to realise the wholeness that God has for each one of us
  • establishing a base (heart) in the centre of Banbury which provides a space for service and outreach
  • developing our approach to discipleship and training.
